For Ben Affleck, the opportunity to play Batman along with the Justice League is a dream he has had since he was a child.
While promoting Justice League, Affleck was asked by Geek Magazine about what it is like playing the iconic caped crusader. Not only does he count himself lucky to play the role for any occasion, but is particularly thrilled to suit up alongside several other DC characters in Justice League:
"Playing Batman was a boyhood dream come true for me, so playing Batman alongside the Justice League? I mean, what can you say? The first time we all stood on set in costume, we just looked around at each other and you could tell it was a big moment for each one of us."
The star previously reassured fans that he would star in Matt's upcoming DC movie The Batman, saying he was "the luckiest guy in the world".
"Everyone at the studio tells me I'm their Batman and I believe it. And Matt Reeves? I'd be an ape on the ground for Matt Reeves. I'm blown away, and it's an exciting time in the DC Universe. I'm excited to be Batman."
Here is the synopsis for Justice League:
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.
Justice League opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.
