After Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) lose their son, they decide to become foster parents to an eight-year-old boy named Cody. When the boy moves in, they realize he has insomnia. Strange things start to happen around the house, but only when Cody is finally asleep.

Upon investigating Cody’s past, Jessie and Mark find out that he takes pills to keep himself awake in order to not dream, at first, they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep, but soon discover why: Cody's dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. In one moment they experience the incredible wonder of Cody's imagination, and in the next, the horrific nature of his night terrors. In order to save their family, Jessie and Mark must embark on a dangerous hunt to uncover the truth behind Cody's nightmares.

One night, before going to sleep, Cody sees a picture of Sean. And after him falling asleep, Jessie and Mark are surprised to see their late son in the living room. Even being surprised and skeptic, they of course still want to see him again, therefore, they try to create a more complete picture of Sean in Cody's mind so they can reunite with their beloved child when Cody is asleep.

But Cody has his own secret... Like many little boys, he is tormented by a boogie man. But unlike other children, when Cody has a nightmare about “The Canker Man” (Christopher “Topher” Bousquet) (a gaunt, monstrous vision of horror), his monster comes to life. As Jessie and Mark try to get Cody to sleep, and his boogie man creeps more into their lives, this new family realizes that they are in grave danger.

The movie stars Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns), Thomas Jane (TV's "Hung"), Annabeth Gish (TV's "Pretty Little Liars"), Dash Mihok (TV's "Ray Donovan") and introducing Jacob Tremblay as Cody.

Before I Wake is a low-budget movie, however, it promises to bring you real horrors. It will be coming out in Theaters April 18th, 2016.
