Suicide Squad 2 Reportedly Starts Filming in March

As per the latest reports Suicide Squad 2 is likely to start shooting in spring 2018.
Although an earlier report indicated filming of Suicide Squad 2 might be delayed until fall 2018 to accommodate Will Smith’s busy schedule, there are new signs that the Warner Bros. sequel could begin principal photography as early as next spring. This comes to us from My Entertainment World, which posts auditions for background actors during film productions. If the website is to be believed, then we should expect the second Task Force X film to arrive sometime in 2018 or early 2019.
Things haven’t really progressed at a rapid pace despite the fact that Suicide Squad did great and its sequel was announced promptly. That changed earlier this year when Warners fast-tracked the film and the search for a director to replace David Ayer, who will instead be helming Gotham City Sirens, which itself seems stuck in development hell. Meanwhile, word on Suicide Squad 2‘s filming start went from next summer to fall only months ago. That makes the latest news of a spring 2018 production start rather surprising.
At present, there is no information about the film’s cast or storyline. With less than five months to go before production starts, that means a lot more casting and plot information should be right around the corner for the sequel. Currently, we believe that Margot Robbie will return to reprise her role of Harley Quinn. Jared Leto hasn’t yet confirmed whether he will play Joker again in Suicide Squad 2. However, he has stated that he is still connected to the character. Besides this sequel, he might next be seen in Gotham City Sirens or the underdevelopment Joker/Harley Quinn solo. Now that, filming is set to start in spring next year, Suicide Squad is the front-runner to arrive first on the big screen.
